Career Details

I hold a Primary Degree (B.Eng.) in Electronic Engineering from the University of Limerick, a Masters Degree (M.Sc.) in Computer Systems Design from Trinity College (University of Dublin) and a Doctorate (Ph.D.) from the National University of Ireland, Galway. I am also a Chartered Engineer and member of the Institution of Engineers of Ireland. Prior to taking up employment in the University I worked as a senior engineer and consultant in the Computer and Telecommunications industries for a number of years. I also worked as a lecturer at the Galway-Mayo Institute of Technology (GMIT).
